Based in Queens, New York, we make bespoke design and software solutions with clients and collaborators in music, fashion, art, and architecture. From analog video synthesis to artificial intelligence, our work playfully explores connections across media and technologies of the past, present, and future in search of new realities.
recycleReality was founded in 2021. Before that, it was a multimedia project now archived at Reality Recycling Center.
Who We Are
Nicholas is a lighting and motion designer. He has an M.F.A. in Lighting Design from Parsons School of Design. He specializes in synchronizing visuals with music and is part of the Brooklyn indie music scene.
Sam is an AI, VR, and systems developer. He has an M.S. in Computer Science from Stanford University and has researched AI, computer music, and design with UNC Chapel Hill’s GAMMA, UC Berkeley’s BAIR, and Stanford’s CCRMA.
Scott is a brand designer and UX engineer. He previously led communications strategy for a global policy think tank in Delhi, India and launched a non-profit coffee company that has generated over $1M in revenue to date.
